Tibs is conserving his energy.

The old guy's back has really been hurting a lot lately, so he's been taking it easy and not doing much of anything.  I hope he starts feeling better soon.  Meanwhile, he does try to keep me occupied and broke out a paper bag and my old red cube for me today.  Frankly, I wasn't much in then mood to exert a lot of energy either, so my heart wasn't really into it,  but I did try to play with them for a little while.  Rich will probably be home later and he plays rough, so I'm saving all my energy for when he starts messing with me.  I had a pedicure at the vet a few days ago, so I can't do as much damage to him as I would like.  I did get some good news.  I've lost a little weight since I was last there and the vet says I'm in good shape.  Maybe that means I can starting getting a few more snacks again.

It's kind of tough for the old guy to change the sheets on his bed, so Rich and I decided to do it for him.  It's kinda fun,  but I don't think Rich fully appreciated my help.

Rock-a-bye Tibs

It's been a while since I've played much with my cube, but Rich dragged it out of the corner yesterday and we had some fun with it.  I'm definitely not as wild as I was when I was a little kitty, but I'm still pretty agile and Rich makes things interesting.  The old guy gave away a lot of the Hartz toys that we won, but I still have quite a few stashed away and he brings out a couple of new ones every once in a while.

Rich hung a bird feeder outside the living room window the other day, so I'm hoping it will attract a lot of birds that I can watch while I'm stretched out on my kitty condo.  Maybe the old guy will be able to make a video if they show up.

This is about exciting as out gets

I don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I sure don't want to do much of anything except sleep and eat.  Is this what it's like when you grow up?  I feel fine and still play with Rich once in a while, but life has certainly slowed down.  Rich got his new computer bag from TimBuk2 the other day and it came in a nice package, so I got to hang out in it.  The old guy says maybe he should just ship me back to TimBuk2. That's not very nice.   Maybe I'm just bored and will get some more energy when something exciting happens.

Tib's Long Weekend

I’ve gotta admit that I’ve been pretty lazy lately and the old guy has been getting on my case because he hasn’t found anything worth putting on my blog.  I guess I’m no longer a little kitty and most of the time, I’m just content to lay around and take it easy.  It’s particularly nice now that I have my new cat condo.  I can just chill out on one of the upper levels and watch the birds outside the window.  There are a couple of sparrows with red breasts that have been hanging out in the tree and really giving me the eye.   Of course, the stupid crows are still out there, disturbing my naps.  I’m going to have to find a way to take care of that.  Meanwhile, I’m just planning on a nice quiet long weekend and lots of sleep.   I’m sure the old guy can relate to that.

The old guy says I'm getting boring.

The old guy says it's pretty hard to come up with new posts when I just lay around.  He says I'm getting fat and lazy.  Ha, he should talk!  It's true that I haven't been doing much lately, but I'm really enjoying my new condo and just looking out the window at what's going on outside.  There are a couple of obnoxious old crows out there that are squawking all the time and ruining my naps.  I'll need to find a way to take care of that.  Meanwhile, I think I'll just enjoy soaking up some sun and fresh air.  Maybe I'll get more active soon and surprise my fans with a new fun video.

The old guy finally broke down a few days ago and admitted he really needs a walker to get around.  He and Rich went to Costco and picked up a nice one that even has a seat and a cup holder.  They also had some cool cat condos on special and Rich talked the old guy into getting one for me.  Thanks, Rich!  I know the old guy well enough to know he wouldn't have bought it without your persuasion.  Rich put my new condo by the living room window so I can look at the birds and other wildlife out on the slope.  The old guy says he's seen coyotes, raccoons and roadrunners out there.  There are also a couple of ducks that like to visit.  I'm still getting used to it, but the top level is a nice place to hangout when I want some peace and quiet.  The old guy took this video of me, but it's kinda shaky because he can't keep his iPhone steady when he isn't sitting down.  Maybe he'll use his walker next time.
