Tibs On A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

It's kind of a cold and dreary Sunday afternoon and I'm bored.  The old guy is working on his computer and not paying attention to me.  I don't really feel like doing much of anything, but I thought I might be able to have a little fun in the paper bag.  The old guy says he's going to stop helping me write my blog if I don't start doing some more exciting stuff, so I guess I'll need to drum up a few new things to do.  Maybe I can convince him I need some new toys, but I've really got more than I know what to do with these days.  I'm hoping Rich will play with me when he gets back from the beach.

Tibs helps Rich assemble a new dresser.

Rich brought back a couple of big boxes from Ikea the other day.  It turns out that he bought a new dresser, but he had to assemble it.  I never saw so many little bits and pieces in my life.  What fun for me! I don't know why, but Rich didn't seem to want my help even though I was more than willing to select some of the hardware for him.  It took a couple of days for him tho finish putting it together, but it looks really nice now that it's finished.  Now he finally has enough drawers to stash all of his stuff.

Having fun with spaghetti

Last night, the old guy cooked spaghetti for dinner again.  It's one of his favorite meals and he makes some really good meat sauce to go with it.  I was able to grab a few strands of pasta out of the colander while it was draining and had all kinds of fun playing with it.  It's also pretty tasty so I'm able to eat it after I get through playing.  I don't think the old guy was very appreciative when he saw how much I had grabbed.  He's still finding pieces under the dining room table.

Getting' into stuff.

The old guy is really slowing down these days and, when Rich isn't around, things can get kind of boring.    I try to find some fun things to do and there's usually something new laying around the house.  Today, I played with a rubber band, tried to see what goodies were in my toy box, and got to mess around with Rich's clean laundry before he got a chance to put it away.  Those nice warm clothes fresh out of the drier are a cool place for me to hangout, so I hope he leaves them on the dining room table for a while.

A Lazy Egg Role

Today was Easter, so to celebrate, the old guy cooked up some soft boiled eggs for breakfast and a couples of hard boiled ones to make egg salad later.  The old guy says soft boiled eggs are really popular where he grew up in the UK and he still likes them a lot.  He has some special egg cups for them and eats them with thin slivers of bread and butter that he dips in the yoke.  It doesn't sound very appetizing to me, but whatever... I do enjoy playing with the hard boiled eggs and the old guy put one on the floor for me.  I guess I was still kind of tired, because I really didn't have much energy to play with it.

Tonight, Rich went to Boston Market and bought us ham and turkey dinners for Easter.  I got to sample a little of both of them and they were really yummy.  To say "Thank You", I left a couple of extra presents in my litter box for them.  Enjoy!

My Pedicure.

Last night, I got my claws caught in the old guy’s sweater and we had quite a time trying to get me loose.  Anyway, he had Rich take me to the vet this morning to get a pedicure, so it’s going to take a while for my claws to grow back out.  That’s okay, but it’s a little hard to grab my favorite piece of string when I’m playing.   I’ve still got some pretty sharp teeth, so I’ll have to start using them more.  While I’m at it, I think I’ll start practicing a few new moves on Rich.  I know better than to try that kind of stuff on the old guy.  He’s the one who feeds me.  He says I’ve got to start doing some more exciting stuff so he can help me post some new blogs.  Do any of my fans have suggestions on some new things to do?
