My String

Oops!  The old guy kinda goofed, but he went ahead and posted his video to my blog anyway.  He was holding my special string with one hand and trying to shoot a video with his other hand.  He forgot to hold the iPhone horizontally, so the video has a vertical format.  Duh!  Oh well, it does show me playing with one of my favorite things.   I can take it just about anywhere and can also play with it without the old guy or Rich being around.  Sometimes I drag it all through the house and leave it in some weird places.

Rich tweeted that he’ll be coming back later tonight, so I’m looking forward to some roughhouse play after hanging out with the old guy.  UPS delivered a big box addressed to him a couple of days ago and I think it may be my prize from Hartz.  I can’t wait for him to get back and open it.

You're getting sleepy, very sleepy...

Rich had a very important photo shoot today, so I got to spend a quiet day with the old guy.  No fun and games, but it was kind of nice to just hangout.  The old guy tries to make out like he has important stuff to do on the computer, but I know he was just playing Spite & Malice.  That's the game the whole family used to play all the time with cards back in the 70's when they used to go on camping trips to Big Sur and other really cool places.  So anyway, he was just messing around on the computer and I wanted to hangout with him, so I sat on his arm and made it kind of hard for him to do much of anything.  It was a nice way to spend a quiet afternoon, but it was short lived.  Rich came home around 7PM and had me chasing the Hartz angry birds all over the living room.

The price of first class mail just increased.

The old guy almost forgot that Sonny, one of my biggest fans (Troglodite), sent me another certificate for some more personalized stamps, so he didn't send it in until last week.  The post office just increased the price of a first class stamp from 44 to 45 cents, so he thought he was going to have to buy a bunch of penny stamps to make up the difference.  Surprise, surprise!  We got our stamps yesterday and stamps.com sent us 45 cent stamps at no extra cost. That was nice.  Thanks again Sonny.  The old guy says he'll send you a couple in the mail.

This time, the old guy chose a shot that Rich took of me playing with one of my Hartz angry birds.  Kinda cool, huh?  If you look closely you can see the nice sharp claws I had before I had my pedicure.

Tibs Weighs In

Rich and I were playing rough the other day and I'm afraid I "accidentally" scratched Rich's leg a little more than I intended.  :)  Anyway, I guess my claws were getting a little long and the old guy wasn't feeling so great, so Rich got to take me to the vet yesterday to get a pedicure.  The nice lady there weighed me while she was at it and I've actually lost about a half a pound. Yeah! That's good news because I have to admit I am a little overweight. The old guy has switched my cat food to "light" and he's also been cutting down on the size and number of chicken treats he gives me. I guess I could lose another pound or so.  I wonder if there's a "Biggest Loser" TV show for cats?

Tibbles the Supercat

The old guy takes lots of videos of me with his iPhone, but his son Rich is a real pro.  He took this video of me playing with one of my favorite toys...a shoestring.  The old guy has a lot to learn!

Gotta Get That Angry Bird

Rich can be a big tease, but I've gotta admit he is also a lot of fun.  He's the one who got me all of these toys from Hartz and I'm really having a lot of fun with them.  Those Angry Birds are driving me crazy, but I've already been able to destroy a couple along the way.  After this little episode, I'll be ready for a nice long snooze with the old guy.

I didn't start this!

Rich is always complaining that I show the old guy a lot more affection than I give to him.  I wonder why? The old guy always makes sure my food and water bowls are full and he gives me special treats like chicken that he bakes especially for me.  He also empties my litter box and lets me curl up with him on his chair for some nice long naps.  Rich, on the other hand, likes to disrupt me when I'm just laying around comfortably, minding my own business and watching TV, or he'll tease me with all kinds of stuff.

Take a look at this video and you figure out who started this little confrontation. No respect!

Shout it from the rooftops!

Hey everyone--GREAT NEWS!  Rich, the old guy's son, entered a photo of me playing with one of my Hartz Angry Birds in their photo contest and I won one of the Cat Grand Prizes.  Thanks, Rich for your great photography.  The grand prize is a trip to Hawaii.  No, not really, but it is an Angry Birds themed prize pack from Hartz.  I can hardly wait to get it.  Here's the link with the announcement from Hartz, with my winning photo:

Thanks to Rich also for helping the old guy make me a real whizz in social networking.  In addition to my blog, I have my own Facebook page and Twitter account

A ride on a magic carpet.

Yesterday, Rich took the Christmas tree down so it will be ready for trash pickup on Thursday.  He thought I was going to mess with him while he was taking down the decorations, but I didn't want to get the pine needles in my fur. I just stayed away until he got down to the red sheet under the tree and that's when I began to have my fun.  Rich pulled the sheet all over the house and I got a free ride the whole time.   The old guy says he's going to miss the tree, but it's definitely time for it to go.  Maybe there'll be more room for me to play with my stuff now.

Tibs Gets the Bird.

We've been having a quiet weekend and the old guy is back in his chair looking at Rich tease me with the Hartz Angry Birds.  The nice lady at Hartz sent me a whole bunch of stuff, but the old guy stashed most of it away and doesn't bring something out until I've destroyed most of the toys still laying around the house.  As usual, Rich is teasing me while I'm trying go relax, but it is kinda fun to chill out on top of the wardrobe and still be able to play without a lot of effort.  Rich says he's going to be taking down the tree soon, so that should be a fun event.  I'm hoping the old guy will shoot another video I can share.

Time to tidy up

The holidays are over and the old guy says it's time to start tidying up the house and tossing out the trash.  It's been fun playing with all of the boxes, wrapping paper and ribbons, so I'm going to miss that stuff.
I particularly like all the boxes and sure didn't want to see the old guy start breaking them down.  I'm still trying to coax him into keeping a few around. It's not like he keeps "house beautiful" anyway, and I don't think Martha Stewart will be paying him a visit.

Rich is still teasing me with all of the fun stuff Hartz sent to me.  I've been beating up on the Angry Birds and have been able to yank a few feathers off.  Here's a shot Rich got of me while I was playing with an Angry Bird inside my tube.  Pretty cool, huh?

A new place to explore

The old guy's garbage disposal quit working a couple of days ago, so Rich had to spend several hours under the kitchen sink replacing it.  Rod went to bed and wasn't sure if the job was finished, so he didn't want to turn it on in the morning until he checked with Rich.  Meanwhile, he tossed a perfectly good muffin down the drain and didn't even offer any of it to me.  Huh!  Well, I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to try something new.  Besides, I was kind of interested in what Rich was doing when he was cussing at the new disposal when he installed it.  As all of my fans know, I'm pretty smart and agile and I was able to fish the muffin out after a few tries.  I was looking forward to enjoying something new before I got caught in the act.  I don't think I'll ever get the chance to try that little trick again, because the old guy keeps reciting, "I will not throw stuff in the garbage disposal without turning it on right away".  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
