Oh, wow! Carol, the lady who my momma lives with, sent the old guy over 100 photos of my family and me from when I was little. How great! I want to share some of them with all my adoring fans out there. I was such a cutie. My sis wasn't bad either.

Burning off a little steam.
I don't know what happens to me, but sometimes I feel like I just need to burn off a little steam. The old guy thinks I've flipped out when I start scooting around the house, but it feels really good and doesn't last all that long. After I'm through, I like to snuggle up with him and take a nice long rest. Rod says I'm bipolar and need help. Is there such a thing as a shrink for cats?
What Can I Destroy Tonight?
It's Friday night and as usual, the old guy is sitting in his chair and I'm bored. What to do...what to do? I'm kinda prowling around to see if there's something I can have fun with, or at least screw up a little bit. It's about time the old guy went out and found something new for me to play with while he's just sitting watching TV. I got queasy watching the video Rod shot tonight. Rich, or someone, needs to tell him how to hold the camera still when I'm moving around the room a little too fast for him. Maybe Saturday will be more exciting.

Testing the Water
I don’t know why, but I’m really fascinated by running water. I don’t really like getting wet, but it’s hard for me to resist exploring when the old guy turns on a faucet. I enjoy getting a little drink right from the faucet, but I’m not fond of getting my ears or paws wet. I think I’ll leave that to all the dumb dogs out there that don’t know any better.

Sprucing Up for the weekend.
I kind of messed up a few cables behind the computer last night, so the old guy asked his son, Rich, to come down and fix things up this evening. I was just trying to get comfortable in my own secret hideaway. Sorry about that! So anyway, I want to look good for when Rich visits. He likes to take a lot of photos of me and I want to look my very best.
Don't Bother Me!
The old guy has been waiting for me to do something exciting for my fans, but it’s hot today and I just want to lay back and relax. You can’t expect me to be a star 24/7.

Helping out in the office.
The old guy was pretty busy in the office today, so I figured I'd try and help him out. He needed some more paper in the printer and I decided to try and open a new ream of paper for him. It's kind of hard to get into something when paws and teeth are all you have, but I was able to get the wrapper off. Actually, it didn't taste bad, but I wouldn't want to eat much of it. I don't know why, but Rod didn't seem to appreciate my help all that much. He said something about sending his blood pressure through the roof. I guess I'll leave him alone for a while and maybe checkout the bathroom or the kitchen to see how I can help.

Fun in the office chair.
The old guy is a real creature of habit. He starts off every day by checking his emails and reading the New York Times on-line. This morning, I beat him to his office chair and was waiting for him when he came in. As usual, he was wearing his favorite beat-up old robe and carrying a large mug of black coffee. I was able to grab his robe tie while he was still trying to balance his coffee mug and I had some real fun with it. I don't think the old guy would agree, but it was a great way to start out the day.

My Hideaway
After I get through messing up the old guy's house every day, I like to take a nice long catnap in my favorite box. Unfortunately, it also happens to be where the old guy files all of his tax information and he's always interrupting my slumber. I'm not about to give it up so he'd better find another place to file all that boring stuff. Rod says I’d better get my butt off of his files, or we may both end up in Leavenworth. I think it’s about time he gave me my very own box. He’s got a whole bunch of empty ones stored away. Maybe he could even add a nice soft blanket to make it more comfortable. I hope he reads this and gets the message.

Highjump
I'm totally exhausted this morning. Last night, Rich, the old guy's son, came to visit and gave me a real workout. He's a lot of fun and I can play a lot harder with him than I can with Rod. Rich was impressed with how I've been able to jump up to high places around the house and wanted to see how high I could actually jump. I think I surprised him. The old guy and Rich figure I can jump about five feet high from a sitting position. Pretty good for a six month old kitty.
That's one small jump for Tibbles, on giant leap for cats.

Spaghetti versus Chow Mien
This morning, the old guy warmed up some leftover spaghetti for lunch and—of course—I latched onto a piece. Now I can’t decide if I prefer spaghetti or chow mien. They’re both a lot of fun to play with, but I actually ended up eating a piece of spaghetti today and it’s not bad. It had some tomato sauce and meat on it, which may have been what made it taste so good. I’ll have to taste some chow mien the next time he gets some. I wouldn’t want that stuff as a regular diet, but it’s a nice change once in a while. I think I’ll stick to my kitty chow for the most part, with maybe a little treat of chicken or fish once in a while. I’m a growing boy, with a healthy appetite and I need lots of energy for my acrobatics.

Shower Inspection
I had a nice relaxing nap on the old guys desk earlier this morning and now I'm ready for a little action. I've really been curious about the shower and what happens in there. Every morning, the old guy goes in there and I hear the water running and him scat singing jazz tunes off key. Huh...and he thinks I'm weird! I had to think about it for a little while, but I decided I could easily jump up on the shower and explore further. It looks pretty interesting in there and I'm sure I wouldn't have any trouble jumping down inside. However, I'm not sure I could open the door to get out and Rod just might be mean enough to leave me in there all day. That could be trouble. I guess I'll wait to do that when he leaves the door open part way.
Yawn!
From all the videos the old guy has taken of me, you’d think that all I do is play and try to destroy the bathrooms. Not so! Sometimes, I just like to relax and chill out. One of my favorite hangouts is on the old guy’s desk in front of his computer. Sometimes I sit on his keyboard and make all kinds of strange things happen with his computer, but usually, I just want to snooze and snuggle up on his arm. Rod says it’s hard for him to work when I do that, but I think he really likes it. I think I’ll hang out up here for a while and just have a lazy day.

Tibbles Rejuvenated
It was a nice relaxing weekend and I just hung out with the old guy taking it easy. Today, I feel like a new kitty, with all kinds of energy. I've got my little mouse and red cube to play with and I'm ready to party. Yeah, let's do it!

it's Sunday. Gimme a break!
Okay, it's been a busy week and I need a break. The old guy seems to think I'm a source of unending entertainment, but I just want to relax and take a day off. Maybe tomorrow!

I Need Chopsticks.
Last night, the old guy ate leftovers from the takeout that Rich picked up at Pick Up Stix when he came to visit us on Wednesday. I was able to score a piece of Chow Mien when Rod wasn't looking and it's even more fun to play with than spaghetti. It's kind of squishy and harder to grab with my paws. I wonder if I could learn to use chopsticks? I think I need Rich to teach me how to use them. I'd ask Rod, but he's all thumbs and ends up using a fork.

Demolition Derby
Sometimes I get a little feisty and just can't help myself. Today was one of those days. I just felt like doing a little exploring and stretching my legs. I also sharpened my claws a little on the living room couch. The old guy wasn't very pleased about that. He said he's going to have to rethink the idea of declawing me if I keep it up. Oops! I guess I'd better watch it.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I’m still working on checking out the shower in the master bathroom, but no luck yet. Believe me, I’ll find a way. The old guy goes in there every morning and I really want to see what happens in there. He caught me looking for a way to get in this morning and told me to get out and close the door behind me. Actually, he wasn’t that polite, but I tried my best to oblige him. Maybe tomorrow…
Tibbles Gets Some Rest

For now, Tibbles' Work is Done.
Well, I finally trashed my green cube to a point where the old guy tossed it. What a shame! I sure had a lot of fun with it, but it really was time to give it up. Now, I’m working on the red cube and have already broken it in pretty good. Tonight I worked on putting a few more tears in it and I think I’ve done a pretty good job with it. Time to take a break and smell the chicken.

Time Out for Tibbles
We've been on our own this weekend. Rich is shooting the Nautica Triathlon in South Beach, Greg is driving home from some meetings on the East Coast and Jill is on her way to Amsterdam They really get around. Maybe I'll get to take a trip somewhere one of these days.

Tibbles wants a touchscreen computer.
I’ve been trying to take a look at my blog, but the old guy still hasn’t got me my own touchscreen computer yet. C’mon Rod, the iPad2 would be purrrfect for me. That way, I wouldn’t have to keep trying to read posts on your desktop every day. It might even keep me occupied and I wouldn’t have to find other things around the house to keep me entertained. Think about it. You could probably saver enough money on toilet paper to pay for it.

Tibbles tackles spaghetti.
The old guy cooked some spaghetti for dinner tonight and I was able to swipe a strand before he ate it all. It’s not something I’d want to eat, but I sure had some fun playing with it. Rod says he like’s it “al dente” and that sure makes it easier for me to play with it. While he was eating, I dragged it all over the house and he didn’t know where I was. He finally found me in the bedroom, but not before I’d had a chance to attack it from many different positions. I didn’t get a chance to taste the pasta sauce he put on it, but it looks interesting and something I’ll try to taste test the next time he eats it.
All in all, the old guy’s not a bad good cook. I saw him take a chicken out of the freezer tonight, so I’m looking forward to when he puts that in the oven. I think I prefer the white meat, but it’s all good.

Tibbles needs to delete an email
HELP! I think I may have gone a little too far with yesterday's escapade. I was just checking the old guys emails and came across the one below. How do I delete it before he sees it?
BEER ROASTED CAT
Cover and soak cat roast in salt water for 24 hours. Drain water and then cover and soak in beer for 6 hours. Drain and place in crock pot with your cans of soup. Add a clove of garlic, and a cube of beef bouillon. If you start to slow cook your cat in the morning with your George Foreman Cooker (or it's ilk), you'll have finely cooked feline in time for supper.
If a slow cooker is not available, a cat can be baked at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a conventional oven and still come out pretty good. Beer Roasted Cat is fantastic served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fresh, homemade egg rolls. When planning a full meal just remember- cat is a course best served hot!
Cat may not be the most glamorous, or tastiest of game meats, but with a little thought and preparation, Baked Cat can make the belly of the persnicketiest diner glow with home baked goodness.

Tibbles Trashes the Bathroom
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
I think I may have gone just a little too far today and the old guy is NOT happy! After yesterday’s fun in the master bathroom, I thought I’d see what I could do in the guest bathroom. It’s not very big, but I was able to leave my mark on it. Now the old guy is mumbling something about how a friend told him that they eat cats in China and he’s going to ask for the recipe. I’m trying to let Rod know that this wouldn’t happen if he’d turn the toilet paper roll around so it’s easier to pull down. At least he changed the towels, but I don’t like the color combination. Maybe he’ll get the message.

Tibbles feels a little hyper.
Sometimes I get a little hyped up after a 10 or 12 hour catnap. The old guy and everyone else had better watch out when I feel this way. I'll run out of gas after a while and need another nice nap. After all, that's what being a cat is all about.
Tibbles' Hideout.
After a hard day of playing and messing up the old guys house, I sometimes like to find a nice quiet place to hide and avoid his ever-present camera. I wasn’t sure I could make the big leap to my new resting place, but I figured I’d give it a try. After all, I am very athletic and extremely agile. I think I’ve found the perfect hideout as long as Rod doesn’t close the office door. I wouldn’t want to be without all the comforts of home.
Tibbles Taste-Tests Toilet Tissue
This morning, I was finally able to destroy the remaining roll of toilet paper in the master bathroom and the old guy had to put on a new roll. The empty roll is kind of fun to play with, but I’m not finding that toilet paper tastes all that good. Maybe it’s an acquired taste--like eating oysters. The darn stuff sticks to my tongue every time I try to eat it. Rod says I have a bathroom fixation. He also says I make his toilet paper look like Swiss cheese and it makes it hard to use. I don’t know why he needs it anyway. All I need is a cat box and some kitty litter.

Rock-A-Bye Tibbles
Rich, the old guy's son, came to visit us yesterday and I'm still recuperating from it. It's certainly a change of pace from living with Rod. Rich is almost as energetic as me and can really give me a workout. I finally retreated to my cube, but he grabbed it with me inside. What a ride. I didn't know which side was up when he finally quit. I don't think I would want to go on a roller coaster ride. Today, I'm just going to take it easy and mellow out with the old guy.

Tibbles samples mangos from Guam
Rich came to visit the old guy and me when he got through shooting the Oceanside 70.3 triathlon today for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Last week, he shot the Xterra, Guam and brought us back some dried mangos as a little gift. Not exactly my first choice, but Rod ripped into them and he was really enjoying them. I figured they must be pretty good if he liked them, but they didn’t taste anything like fish or chicken. They are kinda fun to play with, but the old man didn’t think it was amusing and spoiled my fun. I guess I’ll have to find something else for some entertainment. Rich is shooting Nautica, South Beach next weekend. Maybe he can bring me back some gulf red snapper from Florida. That would be a nice treat.

Tibbles thinks it's too darn hot!
The old guy says I need to do something cute to keep my fans happy, but it's just too hot today. It's 83° outside and I just want to cool off. I jumped up on the closet so I could be close to the ceiling fan, but the blades are going around pretty fast and it's a little scary. I figured if I went out in the living room that maybe the old guy would leave me alone, but he's determined to follow me around with that stupid camera. Maybe I'll do something exciting tomorrow. Rod says Rich is coming down to shoot the Oceanside 70.3 triathlon tomorrow and will probably come to visit when he's through. That's always fun and he can move a lot faster than the old guy.
